Sandy writes ... " I wanted to make a Sue nursery
rhyme quilt, but couldn't find a pattern that I liked......so I copied scenes from an old Mother Goose coloring book, and added Sue and Sam. I
prefer appliqué, and always try to incorporate embroidery ( ribbon & thread)." For the label on the back of the quilt, Sandy made silk ribbon roses appliquéd to the shape of Sue's bonnet. The quilt was made for the daughter of Sandy's friend! What a beautiful quilt!
